Skrei is the name given to the “nomadic” cod that comes every year at this time of year to spawn in Northern Norway. This is the best time to catch and eat it, as the cod has a truly exquisite texture and flavour.
The Norwegian Embassy would like the experience of tasting this freshly caught delicacy in the Lofoten Islands, a winter wonderland at this time of year. But this will have to be postponed until next season. What they can do is help you prepare it here, at home, in every kitchen. Thanks to the collaboration with Team Norway, and especially with The Seafood Council, the Norwegian Embassy invites you to cook together a delicious Skrei dinner from their own kitchens next Thursday 8th April at 19:00.
