In them, he invites us to get to know the daily life of men and women who, with their silent sacrifice, have been decisive in China’s aspirations to unseat the United States from the world’s leadership. Ambrós has managed to penetrate a society that is very reserved towards foreigners in order to narrate the experiences of real people and the workings of a complex society, tightly controlled by the Communist Party.
