The Mallorcan hotel company Meliá Hotels International has been awarded the contract for catering and room management services at the official residence for heads of state at the Royal Palace of El Pardo, in Madrid, on the occasion of state visits to Spain.
The contract was published last Wednesday in the Official State Gazette, for a total of 230,947.94 euros.
The Mallorcan chain will usually provide these services at the Royal Palace of El Pardo, although occasionally they may be provided at another Royal Site to be determined, according to the hotel company in a statement. The company will form the team in charge of providing these services with staff from its Madrid hotels Gran Meliá Fénix and Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques.
According to the chain, both hotels, members of the Leading Hotels of the World seal, stand out “for their avant-garde expression of traditional luxury and their carefully selected gastronomic offer, especially focused on projecting the values and differential products of Spanish cuisine”.
The Vice President and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, Gabriel Escarrer, considers it “an honour for Meliá to have the opportunity to provide this service”. “Our company will do its utmost to offer the best service to state visits, putting into practice our vocation for service, which is one of our most essential values, and as ambassadors for decades of the Spain brand in 40 countries, transferring the exceptional attributes of our Gran Meliá brand, an exponent of luxury with Spanish essence”, he added.
