The book Mariposas amarillas y los señores dictadores. América Latina narra su historia and Casa América is organising this afternoon at 6 p.m. on its YouTube channel its presentation through a dialogue, within the cycle Describo que escribo. Mariposas amarillas y los señores dictadores reveals how critical contemporary texts are of the events of the past, with what lucidity the great figures of Latin American literature analysed the situations in their respective countries and how their works have become the correction of manuals that are often false. In the words of Vargas Llosa, “literature tells the story that the history written by historians neither knows nor can tell”. Taking part in the event Michi Strausfeld, author; Xavi Ayén, writer and journalist; and Santiago Roncagliolo, writer.
