The Embassy of Colombia convenes the International Seminar on Peace with Legality organised today from 14:00 to 19:00 (Spanish time), in which the Colombian President, Iván Duque Márquez, will take part.
After the singing of the Hymn of the Republic of Colombia, President Duque will give a welcome speech, followed by a presentation on important issues such as victims and land restitution, reincorporation, development programmes, policy against drug trafficking, substitution of illicit crops and prevention of the consumption of psychoactive substances. The seminar will also address issues such as integrated rural development with an impact on productive factors, infrastructure and social development, and other cross-cutting issues such as gender, ethnic issues and humanitarian demining. The seminar will close with remarks by Martha Lucía Ramírez, Vice President of the Republic, and Claudia Blum, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
