The Spanish government yesterday “strongly” condemned the attack perpetrated on Monday night in Erbil, in northern Irak, against a base of the international coalition fighting against the Islamic State, in which one person died and several were wounded, including a U.S. soldier.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Executive conveys its solidarity with the victims and expresses its support to the Iraqi government and the authorities of the autonomous region of Kurdistan “in their fight against terrorism and in their efforts to ensure security and peaceful coexistence in the country”.
