On the occasion of the celebration of Brâncuși Day, the film Brâncuși, directed in 1996 by Cornel Mihalache, will be screened on the Instituto Cultural Rumano’s website and Facebook pages (InstitutoCulturalRumano, CineRumano) on Friday at 7pm.

This art documentary follows the chronological axis of the most important moments of the Romanian artist’s life, presenting some memories of his existence: photographs, notes, places. Constantin Brâncuşi, a leading figure in the artistic movement of the 20th century, left an impressive body of work for posterity, making a significant contribution to the transformation of traditional sculpture into modern sculpture. In his works he attaches particular importance to light and space, features that became characteristic of his work.
