Directed by magician Jorge Blass, the Madrid International Magic Festival returns for the eleventh consecutive year to the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid, to see some of the most important magicians in the world come together. For five weeks (11 February-14 March), some of the best national and international magicians come together to amaze with close-up and stage magic shows, conferences and a competition for new magicians.
During the first two weeks of the Festival, the Magia de Cerca show is held in the intimacy of the Parish Hall of the Teatro Circo Price, with Adrián Vega, a regular magician at the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood; Amelie, one of the most awarded magicians; and Mario López, Micromagic World Champion. The main event is the International Magic on Stage Gala, which brings together some of the world’s most renowned illusionists in different disciplines of magic. Javier Latorre, National Dance Award winner, will be the narrator and conductor of the show, facing new challenges after 50 years on stage. The Italian escape artist Andrew Basso risks his life in Houdini’s mythical “Water Tank”, a challenge that very few have dared to perform; Han Man Ho brings, from South Korea, a magic unlike anything seen before; Mag Marín performs great illusions in the most original and funniest way; Dani Daortiz shows why he is one of the best card magicians in the world; Diego and Elena present their magic in an act full of beauty and plasticity; and Jorge Blass, known for his ability to innovate, fuses magic with holograms on this occasion.
