This evening at 7 p.m., the Instituto Francés of Madrid will screen the film The Money (L’argent), directed in 1982 by Robert Bresson in an adaptation of a short story by Leon Tolstoy: The Counterfeit Bill. Screening in the original version with Spanish subtitles.

Yvon is a young man who is unjustly accused of dealing in counterfeit money. From this miscarriage of justice onwards, adversity will dominate his life. During his stay in prison, the environment in which he moves degrades and corrupts him until he becomes a person without scruples or moral principles. Bookings at this link.
