This evening at 7 p.m., the Instituto Francés of Madrid will screen the film The Money (L’argent), directed in 1982 by Robert Bresson in an adaptation of a short story by Leon Tolstoy: The Counterfeit Bill. Screening in the original version with Spanish subtitles.
Yvon is a young man who is unjustly accused of dealing in counterfeit money. From this miscarriage of justice onwards, adversity will dominate his life.
