The Minister of Foreign Affairs, EU and Cooperation, Arancha González Laya, will appear on the 18th before the Foreign Affairs Committee of Congress to explain the Government’s Foreign Action Strategy.
The minister’s appearance, at her own request, is scheduled for Thursday afternoon or at the end of the plenary session to be held that day. It will be the second appearance of González Laya this year, after she appeared before the Joint Committee for the EU on January 20 to report on the pre-agreement with the United Kingdom on Gibraltar.
The Minister presented the new External Action Strategy 2021-24 on January 26 to the Council of Ministers for its submission to Parliament. After its passage through Parliament, where it will not be submitted to a vote, the text will return to the Council of Ministers for approval, following a report by the Foreign Policy Council.
