Mujeres de Cine (www.mujeresdecine.com), the initiative that was born in 2010 with the aim of promoting and publicising Spanish films made by women, is now coming to Mexico from Saturday 6 February to Saturday 6 March 2021, with four great films by Spanish auteurs and free access for the Mexican public.
After four years of close international collaboration highlighting the best Spanish cinema made by women, Mujeres de Cine and AECID, in collaboration with the Centro Cultural de España in Mexico, present the first edition of the Online Cycle Mujeres de Cine Mexico. An exhibition that brings together the excellent work of four Spanish filmmakers and that will take place from 6 February to 6 March 2021, with free access for the Mexican public. In continuity with the adaptation to the restrictions due to the global pandemic, this international event of Mujeres de Cine will be streamed through Mujeres de Cine VOD, the Video On Demand platform of Mujeres de Cine that is serving as a loudspeaker for the best Spanish cinema with a female signature. The selected films are El amor y la muerte, by Arantxa Aguirre; Mudar la piel, by Ana Schulz and Cristóbal Fernández; Varados, by Helena Taberna, and El viaje de Marta, by Neus Ballús. Each film will be available online for one week exclusively in Mexico.
