The Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid will inaugurate tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. by Prof. Juan Varela-Portas, director of the Complutense Association of Dantology, the cycle LECTURAE DANTIS, on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri and in the context of the programme of activities Madrid Città Dantesca.
This cycle is organised by the Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid, the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, the Círculo de Bellas Artes and the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and will take place throughout the year 2021 in different venues in the city: Enclave de Libros, Muga, Polifemo, La tres catorce, La Buena Vida, Rafael Alberti, La Central, Círculo de Bellas Artes, on the first Thursday of each month from February to December. At the inauguration, Prof. Varela-Portas will be accompanied by the director of the Institute, Marialuisa Pappalardo, who will recite the verses in Italian, and the actress Carmen de Aldama, who will recite them in Spanish. The reading will be streamed on the Círculo de Bellas Artes website.
