‘Contigo en la distancia’, by Anunciada Fernández de Córdova

Author: Anunciada Fernández de Córdova.

With a foreword by the writer Elvira Lindo, the book Contigo en la distancia (With You in the Distance), by Anunciada Fernández de Córdova, current Spanish Ambassador to Hungary, begins on 11 March 2020, when a “state of danger” (as it was called) was declared in Hungary as a result of the coronavirus crisis. The author, Spain’s Ambassador to Budapest, pours out her personal reflections, her analysis of the situation in Hungary, in Spain and globally, snippets of the history and idiosyncrasies of the country where she lives and works, memories of her diplomatic life and her personal life. His moods sometimes choose a poem as a form of expression, interspersed with opinions on readings, music, walks in the forest or in Budapest.
