The Filarmonía de Madrid orchestra will be presenting an anthology of the best pieces of Zarzuela at 7.30pm on 30 January in the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, with all the current protocols for enjoying a safe culture.
It will be a concert that perfectly reflects the close relationship between the traditional and the modern, with stories that do not change and that evoke moments in life itself. A date to let oneself be carried away by a unique journey through four centuries of Spanish history, told and sung by the Filarmonía Orchestra, Choir and Ballet, and conducted by maestro Pascual Osa. A new vision of the Zarzuela Anthology, which was from the outset more than just a “mosaic of regional music”; it is a show of our times, capable of representing the new connection between tradition and today’s audience. The grenadier drum (R. Chapí), El Cabo Primero (M. F. Caballero), Agua, Azucarillos y Aguardiente (F. Chueca), La Tempranica (G. Giménez), La Revoltosa (R. Chapí) -in the photo -, El baile de Luis Alonso (G. Giménez), Gigantes y Cabezudos (M. F. Caballero) or La Dolores (T. Bretón) are all part of the programme. Tickets in this link.
