Instituto Francés presents ‘Stagnant Stories’ by Martin Kazanietz
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

In collaboration with the art gallery La Causa Galeria, the Instituto Francés of Madrid presents this evening at 7.30pm and until 19 February the exhibition Historias estancadas (Stagnant Stories), by the Argentinean artist Martín Kazanietz.

Historias Estancadas is a solo exhibition in which Kazanietz presents, based on the development of a kinetic sculpture that emulates the old rolls of analogical cameras, a series of paintings that run in their temporality between a past that no longer exists and the overwhelming present that is upon us. The works projected by the device- and which also inhabit the walls of the room -are small timeless accounts of everyday domestic scenes, cut-outs of images that inhabit the streets of any city, heroes of everyday life, indispensable figures of a worn-out urbanity.
