The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will be one of the participants in the sessions of the World Economic Forum that was traditionally held in Davos and that in this year’s edition will take place in virtual format between January 25 and 29.
It is also expected that speakers will include, among others, Chinese President Xi Jinping; Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India; Yoshihide Suga, Prime Minister of Japan; Emmanuel Macron, President of France; Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany; Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Giuseppe Conte, Prime Minister of Italy.
The presidents of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, Colombia, Iván Duque, and Costa Rica, Carlos Alvarado Quesada, will also take part in different events of the Forum.
Sanchez will participate on the 25th, in the session entitled ‘Moving towards a new social contract’, along with Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda; James Quincey President and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company; Sharan Burrow, Secretary General of the International Trade Confederation (ITUC); Jo Ann Jenkins, CEO of AARP; and social entrepreneur Hilary Cottam.
