Travel agents believe that tourism sector will not recover until 2023

The Business Federation of Territorial Associations of Spanish Travel Agencies (Fetave) has assured that the recovery of the tourism sector to 2019 levels will not be reached before 2023.

Therefore, Fetave demands urgent direct aid, elimination of the 2020 and 2021 EPI, tax and social security moratoriums at zero cost, temporary employment regulation (ERTE) files until the summer, compatibility with employment regulation (ERE) files and support from suppliers.

The agencies assure that taking into account the new wave of the Covid-19 and the upsurges of contagion in our main issuing markets such as the United Kingdom or Germany, a “slight recovery of activity” is not expected before July, both in foreign and domestic incoming tourism and in the issuing market.
