On 17 January, at 7 p.m., the Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński, one of the great sensations of the international baroque scenes in the last five years, arrives at the Auditorio Nacional de Música.
This time he does so thanks to the collaboration of the Instituto Polaco de Cultura together with a group that is also Polish, to set up a bloodless battle between vocal and instrumental repertoires involving two of the heroes of composition from the first half of the 18th century, Handel, Vivaldi and Il Giardino d’Amore. The duel will take place between opera arias (mostly from the German) and violin concertos by the Venetian. A talk will also be held in the Auditorium’s Assembly Hall at 5.30 p.m. on the tenor and the work Il Giardino d’Amore with rtg as the speaker. Access is limited on a first-come, first-served basis until full capacity is reached. It will be essential to show the concert ticket to attend the talk.
