To close the events commemorating the 30th anniversary of the death of Jaime Gil de Biedma (19 November 1929 – 8 January 1990), the Instituto Cervantes is organising a tribute in memoriam on 11 January at 11 am to remember the figure of the poet, through its website.
The Caja de las Letras will be open to receive his legacy, deposited by the poet’s family, who will be accompanied by Luis García Montero, director of the Cervantes Institute. In the evening, at 7 p.m., the singer-songwriter Silvia Comes will premiere her new show entitled Vals del aniversario (Anniversary Waltz), dedicated to the writer, at the Instituto.
