Iberdrola started 2021 on the stock market, reaching new historic highs yesterday, after reaching 11.905 euros per share, closing the first trading session of the year with a capitalisation of 75,597.5 million euros.
The shares of the energy company, chaired by Ignacio Sánchez Galán, continued the upward trend registered during the first session of the year, with a rise of 1.75% at the end of the day.
In a 2020 marked by the coronavirus pandemic, investors continued to have confidence in Iberdrola’s shares, which rose 32.7% in the year taking into account the dividend, compared to a 12.7% fall in the Ibex 35.
Without taking into account the payment of dividends, the revaluation of Iberdrola rose to 27.5% between January and December. The group has thus made four consecutive years of increases, in which it has risen by more than 80%.
