A spectacular display of 16,000 fireworks will light up the sky of Taipei tonight for five minutes to welcome the year 2021, in the Taipei 101 skyscraper (the tallest in Taiwan and until 2010 the tallest building in the world). This year will also be a tribute to the health workers from all over the world who have fought in front of the covid-19 on the front line.
On this occasion, the annual fireworks show will feature 3D effects for the first time, using all four walls of the building and under the theme of Love, and will include music, light installations, fireworks and the display of messages. Throughout the show, the fireworks will form, among other figures, red and blue hearts as a tribute to medical personnel around the world for their efforts in the fight against the pandemic. TV stations can access the images of the show free of charge. The transmission time is from 23:40 to 00:10 (Taipei time) and from 16:40 to 17:10 (Spanish time).
