After a great success at the Naves del Español in Madrid, the play Fariña will be performed at the Teatro Cofidis Alcázar until 31 January.
During the 100 minutes that it lasts, Fariña does not allow the spectator to sit in the seat. An imposing discharge is followed by conversations between young people and neighbours of the villages talking, buying, consuming and handling with ease the famous Winston de batea. The phenomenon is underway. The cast of actors enters and leaves the scene getting into the skin of dozens of characters between familiar situations: a corrupt mayor willing to finance a party, the youngest neighbours trying the merchandise on the sly… And, again as it happened in reality, tragedy appears. In the form of sunken mothers and young people and, finally, police operations. Everything fits on a stage that shows a faithful journey through this dark chapter of Galicia’s history from a unique point of view. A journey through time from a close, real and familiar point of view, with the feeling and reflection that the spectator makes when leaving the theatre, acquiring an unprecedented efficiency. The performances will take place from Wednesday to Sunday and tickets are on sale on this website.
