Contemporary dance company Kor’sia adapts ballet ‘Giselle’

December 10, 2020
in Entertainment, Espectáculos, Leisure

The contemporary dance company Kor’sia will premiere its version of Giselle from 11 to 13 December in the Sala Verde of the Teatros del Canal.

Kor’sia revisits the mythical romantic ballet Giselle and makes the woman’s love story timeless, confronting her with the rules of the game in today’s world. In this version, eleven dancers and the original music of Adolphe Adam are joined by elements that are less frequent in a dance show but common in the language of these artists, such as film, photography, literature and sculpture. Giselle disappears, and so does her naive and romantic way of understanding love, and she faces the rules of the game in today’s world, in a globalised and stressful world in which relationships also seem to be governed by programmed obsolescence, expressing themselves at the drop of a hat on a screen and exhibiting themselves on social networks. Schedules and entries in this link.
