The Diplomat

The new ambassador of Guinea-Bissau in Spain, Abel Coelho de Mendoça, presented the Copies of his Letters of Credence to the second introducer of ambassadors, María Sebastián de Erice, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

Coelho de Mendoça replaces Paulo da Silva – who spent more than eight years in the post – and was previously ambassador to Gambia and several Latin American countries, including the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Cuba. He was also director of protocol for his country’s prime minister and a member of the guinean delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
