From 21 to 25 October, the Teatro Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa presents the play Ana, (también a nosotros nos llevará el olvido), a play by Irma Correa, directed by Mario Vega and played by Marta Viera in her leading role.
The production, inspired by Ibsen‘s Nora and her Doll’s House and Galdós‘ Tristana, deals with the drama of how the protagonist is consumed in the space of her insipid and leaden existence, which in this production is situated in the sixties in Spain, building a bridge between then and now. Ana is a conventional housewife from 1960s Spain, married to Lope, a lawyer who is to be appointed to a position in the Ministry. Ana’s days are spent between housework, caring for her husband and visiting Satur’s hairdresser, adviser and friend. Her life will take a turn the day she meets Vivian, a free-spirited French photographer who will make her see that her life is far from what she really wants. Schedules and tickets at this link.
