Author: Casimiro Granzow de la Cerda.
Casimiro Granzow de la Cerda, Cassio, lived in Warsaw during the Second World War and was a direct witness to the important events that took place: from the Nazi invasion in September 1939 to the creation of the ghetto, the deportations and the insurrection of the city in 1944 in the face of the approaching Soviet troops, in the vain hope that they would support them, until the Nazis completely destroyed the city. A unique testimony, well written and with great narrative force. The only one written by a Spaniard who was a direct witness of what he was telling.
