The Guirau Room of the Teatro Fernán Gómez. Centro Cultural de la Villa de Madrid is premiering until 18 October the play Ternura Negra, written and directed by Denise Despeyroux and performed by herself, Fernando Cayo and Joan Carles Suau.
An author and theatre director obsessed with the figure of Mary Stuart settles in a tent next to Tutbury Castle, where the queen spent much of her wits. His intention is to communicate with the ghost of the tragic and last queen of Scotland. Frozen inside his tent, the author directs via Skype an actress and an actor who are rehearsing in a dilapidated and leaky attic. It is not an easy matter, but it becomes even more complicated when the author decides to sneak into a room in the castle that has been closed due to its alarming level of paranormal activity. The most unexpected things can happen at a Skype seance. Timetables and tickets at this link.
