This evening at 7 pm, Casa Árabe will hold a round table to analyse energy relations between the European Union and the Maghreb. The event can be followed on Youtube Channel MD-GO (Mediterranean Dialogue Channel For Freedom).
Despite the involvement and effort on the part of the EU and the Maghreb, joint positions and interregional cooperation do not always materialise, although the potential exists to take action and adopt common positions. In this regard, it is essential to promote debates on issues related to the Spain-Maghreb cooperation experience and its energy alliances in order to foster contributions to EU-Maghreb energy cooperation. The event will be attended by Nemesio Fernández-Cuesta, former Secretary of State for Energy and professor at IE Business School and Carlos III University; Ana Camacho, journalist and researcher specialising in African affairs and professor of International Relations at Francisco de Vitoria University; and Iskander Ben Mustapha, expert in international development in the countries of the Maghreb (which will be connected via Zoom from Tunisia), moderated by Pedro Martínez- Avial, Director General of Casa Árabe.
