The film ‘Sin señas particulares’ by Mexican director Fernanda Valadez, has won the VI Spanish Cooperation Award of the 68th San Sebastian Film Festival. It is a Hispanic-Mexican production, which tells a story based on real events, exploring the violence in Mexico and the drama of immigration in the United States.
The award, given in the category ‘Latin Horizons’ was presented last night by the Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Ángeles Moreno Bau, during the closing gala of the event, held at the Kursaal auditorium.
The Spanish Cooperation Award, granted by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), an organization dependent on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, thus celebrates six years in the goal of strengthening the Latin American audiovisual industry.
