This evening at 7.30pm, Casa Árabe of Madrid resumes the film screenings with the films from the UAE series that were left pending. On this occasion, it is a double session that includes a short film and a feature film, Escape and Going to Heaven (in the photo). Screenings in the original version with Spanish subtitles (VOSE). Capacity will be reduced due to the health situation.
The short film Escape, by Yaser Al Neyadi and Hana Alshateri, offers a selection of short stories that include unconnected and disparate characters although they all face the same challenges and crises in life. Going to heaven, by Saeed Salmeen Al-Murry, tells the story of a young emirate named Sultan, who at the age of 11 feels lost in the world. Limited by the restrictions of his cruel stepmother, he longs for the warmth of his maternal grandmother, who has moved away from the family. With the help of his best friend Saud, he embarks on a quest through the Emirates to find the missing piece of the puzzle, finding fundamental life lessons along the way.
