As a result of the collaboration between Casa Árabe and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the volume Diálogos sobre sociedades abiertas (Dialogues on Open Societies) has been published, the result of the series of conferences that took place in Madrid from 14th January to 31st July 2019.
The project, framed within the Spanish Government’s desire to relaunch the Euro-Mediterranean and Euro-Arab commitment, fits in with Casa Árabe’s mission to offer spaces for debate, dialogue and thought in order to strengthen the political and socio-cultural ties that unite Europe and the Arab world, the migratory phenomena and the new plural societies to which they give rise. The articles gathered in this work are the contributions of university experts, political figures and representatives of civil society. The contributions are structured around thematic axes that, far from being watertight issues, are intertwined with each other: culture, religion and society, and migratory and geopolitical flows. The book can be read at this link.
