As part of the celebrations of World Environment Day, the Embassy of the Dominican Republic, the Royal Botanical Gardens of Madrid and the firm INICIA have been offering, since yesterday 3 June, the exhibition Alas & Colores, a virtual show that documents through 30 animated illustrations one of the great treasures of Hispaniola: the endemic birds.
The exhibition, which is presented on the Dominican embassy’s website, allows the public, in the midst of the difficult moments generated by the COVID-19 crisis, to enjoy from their homes one of the most beautiful, complete and scientifically documented collections of images about the natural environment of Hispaniola, the Caribbean island that is home to the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
