Centro Sefarad-Israel presents this afternoon at 6 pm the online conference on the Brazilian writer of Jewish origin Clarice Lispector, one of the most important Portuguese language writers of the 20th century.
With a legacy of more than a dozen novels published and translated into numerous languages, Lispector’s style was and continues to be difficult to classify. The writer Laura Freixas will be in charge of offering this online conference under the title “Clarice Lispector and the domesticated woman”. In it, the writer will talk about how Lispector treated the figure of woman in her work, something that was very recurrent throughout her literary career. Freixas will pay special attention to the stories in which she presented women who at some point in their lives broke the rules that had been imposed on them. It is recommended that the session be accessed 10 minutes in advance. The conference can be followed online from this link.
