Centro Sefarad-Israel organises its first online poetry reading

April 22, 2020
in Culture & Art, Leisure

Within the framework of the digital activities that Centro Sefarad-Israel is carrying out during the suspension of the face-to-face programme, this evening the cultural institution is presenting an online poetry recital on its YouTube channel at 6 pm, with which it aims to recall the verses of great Jewish authors.

The following will participate in this recital: Ana Pellicer, Esther Bendahan, Izara Batres, Julio Martínez Mesanza, José Luis Gómez Toré, Liliana Benveniste, María José Bruña, Marifé Santiago (in the photo), Mario Satz and Philippine González-Camino. All the participants recite these poems from their respective homes, since this initiative is part of the program “Centro Sefarad-Israel from home” that the institution has launched to organize different digital activities. Within this initiative, apart from this online poetry recital, there is also the conference Fleeing from the Nazis through the Pyrenees (tomorrow, Thursday 23rd at 6 pm). The recital can be seen at this link.
