Cuba, November 1871. The first year medical students of the University of Havana are imprisoned for an unjust accusation, but only eight of them will suffer an unexpected outcome. After sixteen years in which Fermín Valdés Domínguez, friend and cellmate of the victims, has struggled to prove the innocence of those young men, a new clue places him close to discovering the key that would unravel the hidden truth. The story will then be revealed by Valdés Domínguez’s tireless investigation and the shocking events that led to the most dramatic and sensitive events in 19th century Havana.
