Taiwan has returned in 2020 to the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, FITUR. The “island of Formosa”, which fascinated Portuguese and Spanish sailors in the 16th and 17th centuries with its beauty, shows visitors to the fair, in addition to its main natural, gastronomic and cultural attractions, a special feature that distinguishes it from neighboring countries: its diversity and religious tolerance.
As a novelty, this year during FITUR week Taiwan is carrying out an eye-catching advertising campaign in Madrid’s subway, where there are two decorated trains on line 8, according to a press release from the Taipei Office in Spain.
Taiwan’s stand at FITUR (Hall 6, Stand 6C19) was inaugurated by Taiwan’s representative in Spain, Ambassador José María Liu, in the presence of MPs Carlos Rojas García and Eloy Suárez Lamata. The event was also attended by a large representation of the Taiwanese community in Spain.
During the five days of the fair, Taiwan will hold other different activities aimed at visitors, who will be able to get their name in Chinese characters, taste products from Taiwan and participate with their contributions in the social networks of Taiwan in Spain, in the facebook Taiwan in Spain and in the twitter @TWenEsp.
