The Council of Ministers approved on Friday the granting of two repayable credits of 10.9 and 7.7 million euros to Uganda, from the Fund for the Internationalization of Enterprise (FIEM), for the collection of data in the geophysical mapping of the region of Karamoja.
The project consists of the mapping of the Karamoja region and is broken down into two contracts (each with its own credit): one relating to the collection of data necessary for geophysical mapping (10.9 million) and the other relating to their analysis and interpretation (7.7 million). In both cases, the exporter is the Spanish company Xcalibur Geophysics Spain S.L.
“The implementation of this project will contribute to the process of internationalization of Spanish companies in a sector of high technological content that may involve the entry of our companies both in Uganda and in other countries in the region”, said the incumbent government.
