Recital ‘The great Spanish poets in Arabic’ at Casa Árabe

The Ambassadors Hall of Casa Árabe in Madrid will be filled this afternoon, at 7 p.m., with poetry with the recital Los grandes poetas españoles en árabe by the poets Mahmoud Sobh (in the photo) and Javier Lostalé. Free entrance until full capacity is reached. In Spanish and Arabic.

 

From the Golden Age to contemporary times, this recital will feature Garcilaso de la Vega, Antonio Machado, Manuel Machado, Federico García Lorca, and Pablo Neruda in their original version and Arabic translation. Mahmud Sobh (Safad, Palestine, 1936) is professor emeritus at the Complutense University of Madrid and has been linked since the late 1960s to the Complutense itself and the Diplomatic School. Javier Lostalé (Madrid, 1942) is a Spanish poet belonging to the generation of the seventies. He has published eight collections of poems, five of them gathered in La rosa inclinada. Collected work. 1976-2001.
