The Embassy of the Czech Republic organized the event Top Spanish Investor in which it awarded the Spanish companies that have had a greater relevance in this field according to the CzechInvest, the Investment Promotion Agency of the Czech Republic.
“More than 30 Spanish companies”, said Czech Ambassador Ivan Jancarek, “have invested in the Czech Republic since 2000. Spain occupies a prominent place in the top ten investors in the Czech Republic. Spanish investments in the last 20 years have reached 545 million euros, with the consequent creation of numerous jobs. It is a clear fact that much of our collaboration focuses on the automotive sector, as well as machinery, plastic production and services”.
Over the last few years, exports and imports between the Czech Republic and Spain have maintained an upward trend, placing Spain in 9th place as an importing country and 15th as an exporter. In 2018 the total commercial exchange between the two countries exceeded 8,000 million euros.
“It is true, said Ambassador Jancarek, that today the greatest difficulty for investment in the Czech Republic is its low level of unemployment, something very good for my country, but not so good for Spanish companies. To mitigate this problem, the Czech government has prepared a set of measures that will make Spanish investment in the Czech country more attractive.
