The president of ABANCA, Juan Carlos Escotet Rodríguez, and the general director of the Teatro Real, Ignacio García-Belenguer, signed last May a collaboration agreement (in the photo © Javier del Real | Teatro Real) to organize in the Madrid coliseum a concert in which Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. Under his baton, the musical group will perform a programme consisting of works by one of the master’s fetish composers, Gustav Mahler. The musical event will take place on June 28th at 8 pm.
It will be the second concert by the renowned conductor at the Teatro Real, where he performed in 2018, and also his second collaboration with ABANCA, after the memorable concert he gave in 2017 at the Plaza del Obradoiro in Santiago de Compostela as part of the ‘Palabras para Galicia’ bank initiative. ABANCA maintains a firm commitment to the promotion and dissemination of the performing and musical arts and within this framework this agreement is framed with the Friends of the Royal Theatre Foundation, with whom it shares the objective of supporting and encouraging the carrying out of cultural actions.
