May 21, 2019
in Leisure

‘Y Bernardo de Gálvez entró en Washington’ (And Bernardo de Gálvez entered Washington), by Francisco Reyero, is the book that tomorrow Wednesday is presented at Casa América, at 19 hours. In addition, there will be a dialogue between Alfredo Menéndez, director of Las Mañanas de RNE, and the author of the book. Free entry until complete seats.

Gálvez (of whom General George Washington said that if the Spanish military had not lent his help, and that of Spain, the United States would not have won the War of Independence), it is being recovered thanks to the efforts of citizens and institutions. is known with the contradictory name of The Little Known Hero and now is giving rise to novels, comics and even prepare series, movies and an opera about his figure. Of all this, the book speaks: of forgetting, of heroes, of lost causes and of the controversial (and yet inextinguishable) relationship between Spain and the United States.
