In order to stimulate creation in the Americas, Casa América announces the XIX Casa de América Award for American Poetry, with special attention to poems that open or explore unprecedented perspectives and renovating themes. The prize is endowed with five thousand euros (€ 5,000) in advance of copyright and includes the publication of the winning book by the Editorial Visor Books.
National authors of any of the countries of the Americas may compete with works written in Spanish, rigorously unpublished, that are not pending of failure in another prize and whose rights have not been assigned to any publisher in the world. The papers submitted to the contest must have a minimum of 400 verses and their subject will be free. The closing of the call is next April 26. The rest of the bases of the contest can be consulted in this web.
