Venezuelan-Spanish journalist Luis Carlos Díaz, who was detained for several days by the Nicolás Maduro regime, was received on Friday at the Spanish Embassy by the ambassador, Jesús Silva. From there he thanked the efforts made to facilitate his release and that of other Spanish journalists detained by the Venezuelan security forces.
In a video recorded by the Embassy and broadcast by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Díaz said: “Thank you for not leaving me alone and for being part of the bunch of people who saved me from the jaws, from the darkness of a Venezuelan jail.”
