Japanese Ambassador, Masashi Mizukami, paid tribute on 3 December to the representatives of six veteran Japanese restaurants in Madrid for their contribution to the dissemination of Japanese gastronomy and for their work to foster mutual understanding between Japan and Spain.
The winners were the MIKADO restaurants (C / Pintor Juan Gris, 4. Chamartín); NAOMI (C / Ávila, 14. Chamartín); DONZOKO (https://donzoko.es/); MUSASHI (http://www.musashimadrid.com/); JANATOMO (http://www.janatomo.com/), and GINZA (http://www.restauranteginza.com/).
The declaration of the Washoku (Japanese Gastronomy) as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, together with the growing interest of the Spanish people for Japanese culture and healthy life, has put currently Japanese foods at their most high level of popular appreciation and market.
