Until the 25th of November, the Alas & Colores exhibition is presented in the Bonsai Conservatory of the Royal Botanical Garden (RJB-CSIC) in Madrid (Plaza de Murillo, 2), thanks to the joint organization of the Royal Garden and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Spain and the sponsorship of INICIA. Access to the sample is free prior to entry into the Garden.
Alas & Colores plays with history, science and art to show the endemic birds of the island of Hispaniola, through the work of the North American illustrator Alex Warnick, based on the work that John James Aubudon, illustrator, naturalist and perhaps one of the most famous ornithologists of all time, who was born in the French part of La Española in 1785.
