Casa América remembers Colombian poetess María Mercedes Carranza

 

This afternoon at 19:00 hrs, on the fifteenth anniversary of her death, Casa de América and Instituto Caro y Cuervo pay tribute to the Colombian poetess María Mercedes Carranza. Author, public intellectual and cultural manager, Carranza is one of the most representative figures of the literary vanguard in Colombia and Latin America.

 

Martín Gómez, delegate of Instituto Caro y Cuervo in Spain, will be presenting the event in which poems by the Colombian poetess will be read by the poets and writers Adriana Hoyos, Lilián Pallares, María Paz Ruiz, Nuria Ruíz de Viñaspre and Consuelo Triviño. Free entry, limited capacity.
