Madrid has been chosen by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as its biggest world operation centre, according to an announcement made yesterday in the Spanish capital by its regional vice-president for Europe, Rafael Schvartzman.
The decision will make the office in Madrid manage more than 150,000 million dollars in air tickets for the 280 airlines making up the association. In 2018, it will have around 330 employees of 60 nationalities.
