The Diplomat. 27/11/2017

On Friday, the University Hospital Tajo of Aranjuez was the venue of the initiative Special Cook –Your health on your plate, in which two Italian chefs (Stefano de Venuto and Paolo Valentino) competed in the preparation of haute cuisine dishes that respected the hospital’s diet prescriptions. The competition developed under the supervision of a special jury, made up of fifteen patients of the centre and presided over by chef Fernando del Cerro, awarded with a Michelin star.

The initiative, which is part of the activities of ITmakES Food&Wine, a project promoted by the Embassy of Italy in Madrid, on the occasion of the II Week of the Italian Gastronomy in the world, was set in motion with the objective of raising awareness about the importance of a healthy diet in an innovative and fun way.
