10th anniversary of Casa Árabe, Centro Sefarad and Casa África

 

On 5 December at the Theatre of Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa (4 Colón Square), Casa Árabe, Centro Sefarad-Israel and Casa África commemorate their tenth anniversary with the show Hamsa to dream, which combines Arab, Sephardic and African artistic elements.

 

Flamenco, Sephardic, Arab and African music will accompany dance in this show created by the dancers Leilah Broukhim and Mohamed El Sayed, with the inestimable collaboration of the Sudanese multi-instrumental musician Wafir S. Gibril. Hamsa –literally “five” in Arab– a symbol of protection shared by Jews and Muslims.
