Opera ‘Madama Butterfly’ comes back to the Royal Theatre

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the Royal Theatre will offer the passion and drama of Madama Butterfly, by Giacomo Puccini. This original staging of Mario Gas will delight with performances by the sopranos Ermonela Jaho and Hui He, who will alternate in the performance of the young Butterfly, and who will share the stage with the tenors Jorge de León, Andrea Carè and Vincenzo Costanzo -in the role of Pinkerton- and Ángel Ódena, Vladimir Stoyanov and Luis Cansino, as Sharpless.

 

On Friday, as a starting point of the Opera Week of the Royal Theatre, Madama Butterfly will be screened in three big screens at the Oriente Square of Madrid and in similar places distributed all over Spain.
